Half Creek Farm is located outside of Goldendale Washington.  We are a small, family oriented farm, operating a low stress, fun, home for ourselves and our animals.  We raise Kiko meat goats,  a small group of dairy goats,  a flock of laying hens,  and our farm dogs Mr. Darcy and Wookie Bear, both are  Bouvier des Flandres a herding breed.  We raise our animals with care and consideration.  We are pasture based, and as close to organic as we can but aren't certified.

About Products & Animals

Kiko's were developed in New Zealand and imported to this country only in the last few decades.  The Kiko has a greater meat to bone ratio than Boers, they require minimal worming, and they have excellent feet.  They are great mothers and consistently twin.  I can't say enough good things about these wonderful, low maintenance goats.  We've bred very carefully to achieve rapid growth, and good gain on forage alone.  The only time we use grain is to bribe the goats into something.  This allows us to avoid Soy and Corn in our rations.
We sell some of the best animals you will find anywhere.  We cull heavily, and therefore have a nice selection of USDA processed goat meat for sale most of the time.

Our Kiko and Genemaster's are registered with the American Kiko Goat Association(AKGA)and we're  members of  both the AKGA and the Western Kiko Goat Association and the Oregon Meat Goat Producers as well as charter members of the Columbia Basin Goat Guild.  Our herd is blood tested for CAE and CL and we run a negative herd.

We have added a rare breed dairy goat to our farm.  These dairy goats are called British Guernseys.  British Guernseys are noted for their high butter fat milk, making them an excellent choice for those interested in making cheese.  We now have a small herd of 6 does and 4 doelings.  Hopefully after we wade through the ton of USDA rules and regulations, we will begin selling cheeses.  We currently have goats milk soaps available.  These have no added scent, color, or chemicals and are great for those with sensitivities.

Our animals are raised with care and attention to their comfort and health.  You can come and see how we treat them any time you'd like.  I should mention that we are often snowed in during the winter months, so a summer or fall visit might be easier on your vehicle!

We are  in the beginnings of our farm, this being only the sixth year in this place, so we're still fencing and building.  Come back often and see what we're up to. Write or email and we'll answer.
